From September 1:
If a teacher finds a phone in your hand during a test, you will fail that test. Please make sure your alarm is off. Do not eat hot dogs or ice cream in the classroom. Ask Mr. Chen in the office if you have any questions.
Dear Sir,
I bought your game last Friday and downloaded it to my computer. It looked great at first.
But after ten minutes the screen goes black, and the game stops. I tried three times. My brother has the same problem, so it is probably a bug in the game.
My computer is new, and other games run well on it. Can you send me a new copy or give me my money back?
Thank you.
Ken Wu
Sixty years ago computers were as big as a room. One day a machine in an office stopped, and no one knew why. A worker opened it and found a small insect inside. She took the insect out, and the machine ran again.
After that, people started to call a computer problem a bug. Today no real insect lives in your phone, but we still use the word. When something is wrong with a program, we say there is a bug in it.
