I received your letter on Friday morning. Thank you!
I am on a small island in the south now. The island is not big. We can walk around it in two hours. There is no MRT here, and there are no tall buildings, only sand, rocks and the sea. I do not mind the hot sun at all.
In the morning I swim, and in the afternoon I sleep under a tree.
Yesterday we saw several sea turtles near the coast. An American boy showed me his photos, and we laughed a lot.
Do not worry about me. I will be home next week.

Taiwan is not a big island, but it has many kinds of land. In the west there is a wide plain. Most people live and work there, and farmers grow rice on it.
In the middle a long mountain range runs from north to south. Some mountains are almost four thousand meters high. Forests cover them, especially in the south, and the air is cool even in summer.
In the east the mountains meet the ocean. The coast is famous for its tall gray rocks, because the sea has cut into them for thousands of years.
台灣不是一座大島，但這裡的地形很多樣。西部有一片寬廣的平原。大多數人在那裡生活和工作，農夫也在上面種稻。
中央有一條長長的山脈由北向南延伸。有些山幾乎有四千公尺高。森林覆蓋在山上，尤其在南部，即使夏天空氣也很涼爽。
東部的山直接和海洋相接。這段海岸以高大的灰色岩石聞名，因為海水已經侵蝕它們好幾千年。
