School Moon Festival Night
Come and celebrate this old holiday with us! Every class will cook food outside, and there will be moon cakes for everyone. Students may bring one family member. Please tell Mrs. Lin before Wednesday, or sign up online. If it rains, we will move the party to the gym.

People around the world have their own New Year traditions. In Taiwan, families clean the house and eat a big traditional dinner together. Children get red envelopes because red is the color of good luck.
In Spain, people eat twelve grapes at midnight. In Japan, many families visit a temple and pray for a healthy year.
These customs look different, but the belief behind them is the same. People simply hope that the new year will be better than the last one.
世界各地的人都有自己的新年傳統。在台灣，家人會打掃房子，一起吃一頓豐盛的傳統晚餐。小孩會拿到紅包，因為紅色是幸運的顏色。
在西班牙，人們會在午夜吃十二顆葡萄。在日本，許多家庭會去參拜寺廟，祈求健康的一年。
這些習俗看起來不同，但背後的信念是一樣的。人們只是希望新的一年會比去年更好。
